Hi Tony, the RAF did mine and name the entrances to the Biscay ports, Brest [Jellyfish V], one confirmed sinking, Lorient[Artichokes], two sinking's, La Pallice [Cinnamon] one successful sinking, St Nazaire [Beech], no record of a U-boat loss in Beech. Regardless a drifting Allied or German mine could have caused her demise. I don't, however have details of the German Biscay defensive mining areas. John
