H Branscheid - 14-18 U-boat Officer (U54, U118)?

<HTML>I am trying to find out some information relating to the following officer:

Name: H Branscheid, it is understood that he served on U-54 and U-118 and that he was either the first or second officer, probably making him lt or Oblt at the time 14-18. He survived the 1WW and was believed to have made it up to KvKpt(ing)during the Nazi period.

I would be grateful for any help regarding the person or particular submarines
