<HTML>I have watched this film several times-the best viewing is in the original German with English subtitles-Can\'t handle a German crew speaking English-it doesn\'t feel right- and ruins on of the finest films EVER made on this topic.-this isn\'t Run Silent, Run Deep with John Wayne!!
This film was way ahead of it\'s time-it brought the audience into the submarine with those men fighting to survive-it showed folks that war is not pretty, it is not delicate, it is not sanitary-people die!!-that is whyt it is called WAR!!
Just wanted to put my 2 cents worth in.</HTML>
