<HTML>Dear All
Following hot on the heels of U571 comes another controversial war film. Captain Corelli\'s Mandolin. My knowledge about this film is limited to a couple of reviews in the Grauniad and the Telegraph, both of which slated the production from a**ehole to breakfast. Apparently it bears scant remeblance to the book, Nicolas Cage\'s accent comes in for a drubbing and scenes with the pro-communist Greek resistance have been played down or omitted altogether.
I would like to point out that I have not (yet) seen the film but would be interested to hear what people think about it; do you agree with the pundits or not?
Over to you...</HTML>
