Hello Walter,
Of course I know what are you speaking about but only in general (u-boats thats what I\'m crazy about). I don\'t think I can tell the facts you don\'t know of. May be some.
Actually \"Tashkent\" in the Russian Navy was counted not as a cruiser but in a special class named \"leader of the destroyers\". These ships were in charge of destoyer flotillas. As for \"Tashkent\" it was the most well know and the fastest ship in the whole Black See Fleet at that time. \'Twas a big honour to serve at \"Tashkent\". And the sailors gave \"Tashkent\" the loving name \"the blue cruiser\" \'cause of the colouring of the hull.
It must be said that it was beneficial cooperation for both sides Italy and the USSR in the thirties.
Regards,
Dima. </HTML>
