<HTML>Well, it\'s a bit Off Topic, as, to freely quote Monty Python: \"no submarines were involved\".

It\'s good entertainment, the parachute scenes are great, everything is there, except .... the realism of war. It\'s too \'clean\'. Too neat. I found those two attacks on the bridge (one German, one Britsh) laughable. Especially that German SS-officer (stereo-type or what, he just stands there whilst several machineguns fire at him).
I will consult my Dutch Arnhem book whether this was true ....

What I\'m looking for , can\'t believe I say this, is actually something like the opening scenes of SPR (though the rest of that film was pants). It gave me cold shivers down my spine imagining ME on that beach .... It shocked me. Same way as I didn\'t exactly like to be on Das Boot. I didn\'t have any of those shivers watching A Bridge Too Far.

I didn\'t get into the drama of it all .... good entertainment though.</HTML>
