<HTML>The swastika is also common to the American Indians, although reversed from the Nazi version. It is possible that Hitler copied from the American Indians, as he was a fan of Western novels. One of his favorite authors was Zane Gray.
I had a friend at Purdue University that built a model of the Hindenburg for the aviation library. He got a lot of complaints for putting swastikas on the tail, despite the fact that the real one had them.
I feel that Germany has gone too far in supressing it\'s Nazi past. I wouldn\'t want to honor the Nazi\'s but I sure don\'t want to forget them either. You need to be able to recognize the snake when it shows its head again.
