<HTML>In the 1950s and \'60s, at least, we had no problems with the American Indian version being used on a lot of Indian-oriented Boy Scout stuff. Based on worldwide use, the Nazi version is the one that\'s backwards. The ubiquity of the symbol is perhaps best illustrated by the fact that, in the form of a continuous frieze and individually, it was a common decorative element in religious buildings, including synagogues.
