<HTML>Dear Kris,
I always find hard to believe the credibility of THAT German officer character. How did he survived the sinking of his U-boat without the appropriate escape suit? How his U-boat was sunk?
I know of Capt "Klause Mause" being the sole survivor of his U-boat but it happened years after and in very specific circumstances.
In his Nazi related movies Hitchocock simply materialized (and exploited) the hidden fears of an entire generation. He did good fiction and effective propaganda, I must admit.
Greetings
