Come to think of it. I have never seen jackets like that with the Kriegsmarine. I have seen pictures of the luftwaffe General, Galland, wearing beautiful shearlings. But perhaps they did or had it custom made. I am sure the waters of the North Atlantic were pretty bloody cold. I am sure any of the osprey books on WWII that will cover regalia of the Kriegsmarine will have a listing of jackets worn by commanders on high seas.
