<HTML>At least that's my opinion. I liked it better than U 571, although that's not a hard thing to do. Some scenes reminded me of Das Boot, like when the nuclear lieutenant talks about his girl friend and hands her picture to another guy who's sleeping in the bunk above him (Ullmann scene) or when the guy with the roden goes nuts and wants to escape the sub (Johann).

I can see where the movie appears "Hollywoodized" because "everybody's a hero" on the sub but at least it's not another "U.S. is the best thing since sliced bread and we beat everyone without anybody's help" story.</HTML>
