"HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER".........
A bigger boo-boo than the XO's "pickup truck" in Montana is the scene in the
Auxiliary Repair Dock (ARD) in which "our hero Ryan" is discussing the propulsion of the Soviet TYPHOON (RED OCTOBER). The engineer tells Ryan
that they are modifying a U.S. nuclear-powered fast attack boat to accomodate
the DSRV (Deep Submergence Rescue Vessel). He states that only NATO
boats will have this capability, but later on in the flick, they mate a fast-attack with the the RED OCTOBER........I liked the story in Tom Clancy's book better.
