I have noticed that there is a 275 minute version of Das Boot that has been playing on a couple of cable channels (Plex, Action, True Entertainment) in the US. I haven't been able to catch the whole movie, but it appears to have a good of extra footage not included in the Director's Cut (216 minutes), plus a running narrative of the patrol by the Leutnant - war correspondent.
Any idea if this is available commercially on VHS or DVD?
