<HTML>Lice obtained the name crabs because they look like crabs under the microscope.
A point -
When one person had an infestation everybody else became infested.
There was nothing unusual about lice infestations. The close quarters and common heads provided for easy transmission of the lice.
In our ultra clean world of today, having body lice is not uncommon. Head lice crops up regularly in schools.</HTML>
