<HTML>It was a Swordfish biplane, which threw two bombs, causing very grave damage, and making the U-boat not operational. The plane was one of those left 'orphaned' by the sinking of HMS Ark Royal a few days earlier. If you look through the older messages here and in General Discussions you can even find the name of the pilot. A certain Fl.Lt Woods.
