One COULD drink water , if the beer runs out. Hate to say it, but there is that possibility.
Interesting that the feminists have taken over; I didn't notice that on any of my visits or in conversation with German (female) friends. But then, I wouldn't wish to be like so many vacationing visitors to the US, who come away "experts" on American culture! so, I will take your word for it and say "Hurrah for Germany!"
