Dear David,
Are we talking simply film or book and film here? The latter is as authentic as about 5000 notebook pages can make a contemporary historical novel, the former is just an offshoot. And some guys (NOT LGB or Petersen) had photographic memories, which allowed them to sit and pass exams on nuclear engines with flying colours at over age 50!
Best Regards
Io
