I received the mini-series this morning from Play.com.
The collectors-edition *might* feature the 60 minute documentary of the making of Das Boot. This documentary is on the original German video release I have, but not on the DVD I just received.
I'm going the watch the whole series again to see what they've cut out this time, because the series that are on BBC now has scenes cut.
However, I am extremely happy that the original sound is back. I hated the new 'dubbed' sound on the director's cut. This release has the original sound.
