Its the bigger bosses within the film company, and script writers. As much as we complain, if they don't agree, that won't change it.
Look at the outcry after 'titanic' where 1st officer Murdoch is shown to shoot himself. There was NO historical proof that it happened. As a result of public complaint, they put up an apology at the end, yet they kept it in the film because it was good for the story.
This proves that they don't care about facts, even when based on true events. Its all about money and good action/adventure!
