Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

as far as I recall, PETERSEN said in an interview, that he had his actor-crew undergo for a few weeks some “basic-training” to make them get kind of “feeling” for the inside of u-96 as to how one moves, the running etc., in the boat and drilling as to how to handle the wide range of machinery within the side of the camera before starting to shoot the film. Also he urged the actors to stay away from daylight as much as possible so they would look pale the natural way before and during the filming – period.

You all have a nice weekend.
Sincerely Yours
Volker Erich Kummrow
