Good evening everybody,
Thanks for all these interesting information and comments.
I shall perhaps put my original question under a slightly different form : Was an official photo of FdU/BdU, Admiral K.Dönitz, mandatory aboard each U-Boot ? I cannot remember having seen one in various pictures or filmed documents of German origin of this period.
