HMS Upstart (Lt. P.C. Chapman, DSC and Bar, RN) sank the French fishing vessels Grotte de Bethlehem (49 GRT) and Torpille (46 GRT) in the Bay of Biscay.

While on patrol off Toulon, southern France, HMS Upstart (Lt. P.C. Chapman, DSC and Bar, RN) attacks the French merchant Medjerda. All torpedoes fired missed their target.
