Returned to Norway in 1945 and converted to ASW frigate in 1948.

HNoMS Odin in Toppedalsfjord in Kristiansand fired at Germans bombers attacking Odderoeya fortress. (1)

9 Apr 1940
The Germans stated they would bomb Kristiansand city if not the Norwegian naval forces and fortress in the Kristiansand area surrendered. In order to save the citizens and Kristiansand city HNoMS Odin surrendered. HNoMS Odin was lost for the Royal Norwegian Navy. (1)
