Scotsman (Lt. A.H.B. Anderson, DSC, RNR) conducted trials in the Clyde area. These included full speed trials on the Arran measured mile. These however had to be broken off due to a defect to the port engine. (1)

11 Dec 1944
HMS Scotsman (Lt. A.H.B. Anderson, DSC, RNR) conducted W/T trials in the Clyde area. Then full power trials were carried out on the Arran measured mile and finally steering trials. On completion fo these trials HMS Scotsman returned to her builders yard at Greenock. (2)

6 Feb 1945
HMS Scotsman (Lt. A.H.B. Anderson, DSC, RNR) departed her builders yard at Greenock for a series of trials in the Clyde area. Upon completion of these trials she proceeded to Holy Loch. (3)

H.J. Bartlett, DSC, RN) which was to proceed to Loch Alsh. They were escorted by HMS Shikari (Lt. E.H.U. Cautley, RNVR). (4)

Beale, RN) and HMS Turpin (A/Lt.Cdr. J.S. Stevens, DSO and Bar, DSC, RN). This last one joined near Bishops Rock.

At 1050 hours (zone -7) HMS Scotsman (Lt. A.H.B. Anderson, DSC, RNR) sank a laden junk with gunfire off the West coast of Borneo near Pontianak near position 00°05'N, 108°50'E. (10)

17 Aug 1945
HMS Scotsman (Lt. A.H.B. Anderson, DSC, RNR) arrived at Subic Bay. As the war with Japan had now ended she would see no offensive action.

After a visit to Hong Kong Scotsman returned to the U.K. arriving at Rothesay on 7 December 1945. (10)
