History	HMS Newfoundland was sold to the Peruvian Navy on 30 December 1959. She was renamed, Almirante Grau. Renamed Capitan Quinones on 15 May 1973. Capitan Quinones was discarded in 1979. Commanding Officers: Capt. William Rudolph Slayter, DSC, RN 13 October 1942 – ca. October 1943 Cdr. Guy Robert Pilcher, RN ca. October 1943 – December 1943 Capt. Richard William Ravenhill, DSC, RN December 1943 – 1 September 1945 ??? CBE 8 June 1944 Capt. Cecil Charles Acland Allen, RN ??? 1 September 1945 – still in command in October 1945 according to the Navy List Hit by U-boat Damaged on 23 Jul 1943 by U-407 (Brüller).
