History | Originally named HMS Blake, then Bellerophon. The Minotaur class cruisers remaining to be completed at the end of the war were later finished as the last all-gun cruisers - in fact the last cruisers ever built for the Royal Navy. These ships were known as the Tiger class. Decommissioned on 20 April 1978. Sold to be broken up for scrap in 1986. |
