| History | Wrecked off Swansea on 28 June 1957 while en route to the shipbreakers. She sailed from UK in November 1942 as escort for convoy KMS2. On 5 July 1943 rendered assistance to the torpedoed British merchant Devis off Algiers. In July 1943 she supported the landings in Sicily. In September 1943 she supported the Salerno landings and in August 1944 the landings in the south of France. In September-October 1944 Cleveland was in the Aegean clearing the the islands and Greek mainland of German troops. Named after a 'Hunt' in Yorkshire, northern England.
