| Noteable events involving K-3 include: 23 Nov, 1941 3 Dec, 1941 The escorting German auxliary submarine chasers UJ 1403, UJ 1416 and UJ 1708 engage K-3 with depth charges damaging the submarine so that it had to surface resulting in a gun battle. At 1507 hours K-3 hits the UJ 1708/Faröer (470 GRT) resulting in the sinking of this ship in position 70°54'N, 23°46'E.
