The information I have on the YMS-24 is the commanding officer was LT Samuel Pruett. http://navy.togetherweserved.com/profile/523347 He was killed in action when YMS-24 hit a mine. The XO took charge, LTjg John Cox (aka John Howard, the movie star). Cox was awarded the Navy Cross during the event. http://navy.togetherweserved.com/profile/523328 I hope you can use this.
