<HTML>The Norwegian sources I\'m using are published in 1943, 1964, 1968 and 1976, so I\'ve been very careful not to quote their information as proven facts, realizing new information has come out since then. (Also, watchful eyes keep me informed of mistakes I make, which is appreciated). Here\'s what one of my Norwegian sources says about Thorsholm (translated from Norwegian):
\"In the western part of the Mediterranean the convoys came and went. Just outside of Gibraltar U 118 laid a mine field on Febr. 1. Three British ships sank in it a week later, then a Spanish ship went into it, and on the 22nd of February Convoy MKS 8 went into what was left of the mine field. A British destroyer and M/T Thorsholm went into it, but both stayed afloat and were helped to port\". This proves nothing of course, nor does the wording indicate directly she was actually in this convoy, it could just as easily mean she was damaged AFTER the MKS 8 convoy had passed, and there\'s no name listed for the British destroyer. (See also the text under Thorshov on my site [www.warsailors.com] - which I shall now correct as soon as possible).
And Rainer, your suggestion sounds like a good idea, I may have some useful info on the Norwegian side that you don\'t have acces to, at the same time my sources are lacking in other areas, so I often feel frustrated at not finding what I need. Another frustrating factor is the conflicting info I keep running into (the more sources I check, the more confusing it gets), though I\'ve solved that by simply listing all of it, rather than picking just one opinion.
