<HTML>Hi Jan-Olof, Ted, Siri and Josef
It\'s definitely an mistake in Rohwer\'s book. The position of ON 166 was appr. 48°N/31°W at this date, in the middle of the North Atlantic, as shown in the entries about ON 166 on the page 150. Far away from Gibraltar. I\'m assuming the same thing as Josef, Thorsholm was probably a straggler from MKS 8 but can someone proof that?
It\'s probably a typing error by Rohwer, because the entry above that one from Thorsolm reads \"ON 166 s\". He mixed up the rows.. There are similar mistakes in the book.
You can read them here:
And please report such mistakes. I will add some more when I have finished my work on the successes database. (About 120 mistakes and printing errors).
Siri, I know your site about the Norwegian merchants. Very good and interesting work! I would like to use some of your very valuable informations on the ships lost to U-boats from your site for uboat.net. In return I will help you with some infos about the Norwegian ships, especially those captured by Germany and of course those sank by U-boats ;-)
Let me know what you think about it.
Regards
Rainer
