09:23 - U-576 discovered off North CarolinaNOAA has reported (pdf) that U-576 (Ktptl. Heinicke), along with its last victim, the motor merchant Bluefields has been discovered. The wrecks are less than 250 yards from each other. Accordingly U-576 has been added to our U-boats discovered since their loss page.
