Career information
Son of William & Anne Jane Griffiths.
A Master Mariner and officer in the RNR.
In late 1937 married Janet A.G. Clarke in London.
by 1940 undertook training in the RN at Greenwich and Chatham, commanded a Flower Class Corvette in the Battle of the Atlantic on anti-submarine work. Also served as an instructor in navigation at Pembroke Dock and Milford Haven.
His wife Janet died at Pen-y-bont in 1986 and William died 19th February 1988 at the Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen.
