HMS Harrier (Cdr. A.D.H. Jay, DSO, DSC, RN) picks up 4 survivors from the American merchant Greylock that was torpedoed and damaged by German U-boat U-255 in the Norwegian Sea in position 70°52'N, 00°21'W. The Greylock was later sunk by gunfire by one of the escorts.
