Senior Officer of the destroyer force for the Second Battle of Narvik, 13 Apr 1940 (DSO, MiD). Bedouin also part of the force which carried out Operation Claymore (the raid on the Lofoten Islands, Norway) 1-6 March 1941 (personal communication).

HMS Bedouin (Cdr. J.A. McCoy, DSO, RN) picks up 14 survivors from the Panamanian merchant Tuira that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat UA about 280 miles southwest of Rockall in position 54°46'N, 20°30'W.

Around 1600A/15, HMS Bedouin (Cdr. J.A. McCoy, DSO, RN) was undocked at Scapa Flow. Around 1945A/15 she left Scapa Flow for Rosyth. (1)
