HMCS Battleford (T/Lt. R.J. Roberts, RCNVR) picks up 46 survivors from the American merchant Kaimoku and 17 survivors from the British merchant Anneberg that were both torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-379 in the North Atlantic in position 56°30'N, 32°14'W.
HMCS Battleford also picks up 41 survivors from the British merchant Kelso that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-176 in the North Atlantic southeast of Cape Farewell in position 56°30'N, 32°14'W.
