HMS Umbra was towed from Fishguard to Milford Haven. Both her main engines were damaged and could not be used. She arrived at Milford Haven the following day. (1)

16 May 1945
HMS Storm (Lt. R.A.A.C. Ward, DSC, RN) arrived at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for a refit. When the war with Japan ended she was still undergoing this refit that ended on 19 September 1945.

Storm arrived back in the U.K. (Holy Loch) on 7 October 1945. She was placed in reserve at Harwich on 3 December 1945. (6)
