USS Drum (Lt.Cdr. M.H. Rindskopf) departed from Majuro for her 10th war patrol. She was ordered to patrol off the Palau Islands.

29 Jul 1944 (position 9.18, 133.20)
USS Drum (Lt.Cdr. M.H. Rindskopf) sank a Japanese sampan with gunfire some 100 nautical miles north-west of Palau in position 09°18'N, 133°20'E.

14 Aug 1944
USS Drum (Lt.Cdr. M.H. Rindskopf) ended her 10th war patrol at Pearl Harbor.

9 Sep 1944
USS Drum (Lt.Cdr. M.H. Rindskopf) departed from Pearl Harbor for her 11th war patrol. She was ordered to patrol off the Surigao Strait in the Philippines. Later she moved on the South China Sea.

USS Drum (Lt.Cdr. M.H. Rindskopf) torpedoed and sank the Japanese merchant cargo ship Shikisan Maru (4725 GRT) in the South China Sea west of Luzon Strait in position 20°27'N, 118°31'E.

26 Oct 1944 (position 19.00, 120.45)
USS Drum (Lt.Cdr. M.H. Rindskopf) torpedoed and damaged the Japanese transport Tatsura Maru (6420 GRT) in position 19°00'N, 120°45'E, and sank the Japanese merchant passenger/cargo ship Taisho Maru (6886 GRT) and cargo ship Taihaku Maru (6061 GRT) north of Luzon in position 19°21'N, 120°50'E.

8 Nov 1944
USS Drum (Lt.Cdr. M.H. Rindskopf) ended her 11th war patrol at Majuro.
