USS Finback (Lt.Cdr. J.A. Tyree, Jr.) torpedoed and inflicts further damage upon the Japanese troopship Suwa Maru (10672 GRT)(previously damaged by USS Tunny on 28 March and beached) off Wake Island in position 19°20'N, 166°35'E.
