After a long delay, the reconstruction of HMS Caledon was nearing its completion so she was recommissioned from Dockyard control at the Chatham Dockyard, Capt. R.F. Nichols, RN, assuming command on 10 December 1943. (1)
3 Apr 1945
HMS Caledon (A/Cdr. E.H. Dyke, RN) proceeded from Sheerness to the Chatham Dockyard for disarmament. (2)
