HMS Akita (Ch.Skr. W.A. Watson, DSC, RNR) picks up 2 survivors from the British merchant Cato that sank after hitting a mine laid the previous day by German U-boat U-29 2.5 nautical miles west of Nash Point in the Bristol Channel in position 51°24'N, 03°37'W.
