Notes on event

At 16.09 hours on 28 Sep 1940 the Empire Ocelot (Master Peter Bonar), dispersed from convoy OB-218, was torpedoed and damaged by gunfire by U-32 southwest of Rockall. The abandoned vessel sank later in 54°55N/22°06W. Two crew members were lost. The master and 31 crew members were picked up by the British destroyer HMS Havelock (H 88) (Capt E.B.K. Stevens DSC) and landed at Liverpool.
