History Completed in February 1915 as steam trawler Commander Horton (H233) for Hellyer Steam Fishing Co Ltd, Hull. 1917 requisitioned by the Admiralty and used as armed trawler. 1919 returned to owner. 1923 sold to Eastern Steam Fishing Co Hull (G. Chapman), Hull. 1940 again requisitioned by the Admiralty but shortly thereafter returned to owner. 
Notes on event

At 02.10 hours on 27 April 1941 the Commander Horton (Master Ernest Lewis) was torpedoed and sunk by U-552 southwest of Iceland.
