Notes on event | At 14.48, 14.50 and 15.16 hours on 20 May 1941, U-556 attacked convoy HX-126 south of Cape Farewell sank the three ships Darlington Court, British Security and Cockaponset. The master, ten crew members and one gunner from the Darlington Court (Master Charles Hurst) were picked up by the rescue ship Hontestroom and landed at Reykjavik on 27 May. 22 crew members, three gunners and three passengers were lost. | ||
