Son of Mr. Miley M. Creps, of Chicago, IL. He left Calumet High School to enlist on 27 December 1941, altering the year of his birth on a certificate he carried to the recruiting office to show his age as 17. He was accepted and killed in action less than three months later, shortly after his 15th birthday.
