Personal information
Husband of C.M. McGilp, of Clarkston, Renfrewshire. Dugald McGlip was badly injured when Hopecastle was torpedoed and picked up by Tasmania, which was herself torpedoed two days later. He fell overboard while being lowered into a lifeboat and drowned as he was only semiconscious after being given morphine.
