Personal information
Son of Hugh Colin and Constance Maria Josepha Smith (nee Adeane); husband of Jean Ellis Hugh Smith (nee Mackintosh), of Radnage, Buckinghamshire. Also served in the First World War. Author of "A Yellow Admiral Remembers" and "An Admiral Never Forgets". His body was recovered and buried in Bunbeg, Ireland.
