Personal information
Samuel Browne was of Whitehead and had a family of four sons. He was in charge of a lifeboat with 15 occupants after Aracataca was sunk and was awarded an OBE for bringing it to safety. Samuel continued to serve on Cavina, another ship from Elders & Fyffes.
