Husband of Olaug Ingeborg Endresen, who served as stewardess with him aboard Tortugas. When Rolf Endresen was taken prisoner after his ship was sunk he requested to take his wife with him, but the commander of the U-boat refused. He was landed at Lorient on 21 December 1942 and taken to the PoW camp Marlag und Milag Nord (POW No. 1000), but released on 25 November 1943 and allowed to return to Norway. The married couple was eventually reunited when Olaug arrived in Norway in July 1945.
