Personal information
Petter Martinus Quitzau survived the sinking of Steinstad and reached Ireland, but became ill while waiting in Dublin on his voyage back to Norway. He was transferred to a hospital where he died on the morning of 10 March 1940 as a result of an ulcerated stomach.
